1. Registration

Registration on the platform is free, we do not charge any subscription fees. In order to fully use the platform, you need to authenticate yourself with an identity document.

If you are registering a legal entity, you will also need to upload the requested company identification documents.

2. Search

After completing the registration, the system will create your personal account. Now you can familiarize yourself with the platform, test how the search works.

Each car has photos, information about the car provided by the seller, and a report on the inspection of the car by independent audit companies. Depending on the country and the seller, the amount of information provided varies.

The absolute majority of sellers on the platform are German, French, Italian, Belgian, Dutch, Swedish car leasing and long-term rental companies with a long history and proven reputation.

3. Deposit

Once you are familiar enough with the system, activate the right to bet. You can do this by going to your profile and selecting the desired maximum bet amount. After you confirm it, we will send you an invoice for deposit payment - 5% of the desired bet amount.

If you win the car, the deposit will be counted as an advance payment, and if you end up not buying anything, we will return it within 1 day of receiving the request.

The deposit is taken as a guarantor of obligation, since all bets made at the public auction are binding and irrevocable.

4. Auction or order from Mobile.de

After activating the betting right, you will be able to bid your price for the car you are interested in. Make only as many bids as you are willing to purchase in the event of winning cars at a time.

There are 3 types of auctions:
Tender - during the auction, you cannot see the bids of other participants. The platform indicates the time when the auction ends.
Open - you see the current highest bid during the auction. The platform displays the time until the start of the active stage of the auction, when each new bet extends the auction by an average of 1-2 minutes (depending on the auction).
Buy now - when the specific price of the car is known in advance and the purchase of the car can be confirmed immediately.

If your bid is the highest at the end of the auction, the seller will consider it and approve it, or reject your bid if the bid is too low. Make bids based on market value or ask our team for advice. You will see all the incoming fees during the bet, so there will be no surprises after you win.

If you can't find the car you want at the auction or this method is too complicated for you, we offer you the opportunity to buy a car from Mobile.de. You just need to find the car you want on this largest car sales platform and place an order with us by uploading the link of this car in a special section in the Car Order section. All other work will be done by us - we will contact the seller, organize the delivery, perform the document procedures. All charges will also be visible at the time of booking.

5. Payment

If you win, you will receive notification of winning by email. We will send you a proforma invoice shortly after to pay for the car. The payment term is 2 working days.

6. Transportation

We only work with proven carriers who have all the necessary licenses for car transportation in Europe and transport them with specialized car carriers to ensure the maximum safety of your purchased car.

After paying for the car, the seller usually prepares the car for removal within a few working days. After receiving a notification that the car is ready for pick-up, we order transport. All purchased cars are transported to our logistics site in Marijampole, Lithuania.

Depending on the distance and the country's procedures, the purchased car arrives at our lot within 1-2 weeks after payment.

The fastest delivery is from Belgian auctions - within 5-7 days after payment, from German auctions - within 7-10 days, from France - 10-14 days, from Italy - 20-30 days. In some cases, the transportation time may be longer.

7. Documents

After delivering the car to our logistics site, we prepare and send the necessary documents to the seller, proving that the car has reached the destination country. Only after receiving the properly filled documents, the seller sends us the car registration documents. They are almost always shipped separately from the car. This is done to protect against VAT fraud schemes in various countries.

Documents are delivered on average within 1-2 weeks of receiving the car, depending on the seller's country and its procedures. Here again, Belgian auctions are usually the fastest, sending documents within 5-7 days of receiving the car, auctions from other countries usually within 7-14 days.

Until we receive the documents, we can carry out technical service work or clean the car if needed.

8. Pick-up the car

After receiving the car documents, we carry out the necessary procedures. Depending on the buyer's country, we prepare export documents, order transit plate numbers or carry out a technical inspection and register the car for use in Lithuania. In the Baltic countries, we can deliver the car to your door.

So, the whole process usually takes from 2 to 4 weeks depending on the country. This is 4-5 times faster than buying from US auctions, where usually damaged cars are bought, which are transported by ships, then restored and only then can they be used. This is a waste of time, not to mention the safety of a restored car, so European auctions are the best way to buy a car with real mileage, serviced by a certified manufacturer's workshops, for which you will not have to wait for months, and which can serve you for a long time.
